“Viva La Cowboy” is scheduled to hit the streets the first week of Feb. The first single “I’m the one to call” will be shipped to radio the first week of Jan. Old Boots Music (Dan’s record label) is really fired up about this album. If you haven’t got a copy yet you can go online to www.danroberts.net and order your pre-released copy today.

THE COWBOY GOES TO HOLLYWOOD. Dan flew to California July 17th to read for a part in the new and upcoming animated movie called FIREDOG. His voice will be used in the movie as “Willie The Armadillo” who gets shanghied by some “Yankee Tourists” who were visiting Austin Texas and hauled him all the way back to New York City. In the movie, he is finding his way home to the great state of Texas! Others in the movie will be Joan Collins, Richard Dryfus, Tom Arnold, Della Reese, James Cann, just to name a few of the all-star cast. Dan’s response to being in that line up is “what’s wrong with these credits?” Dan is also writing some of the music for the movie and it will be out in the spring!!!

From Hollywood, it was on to The Big Bear Cowboy Gathering where Dan played to a sold out crowd at the Big Bear Performing Arts Center. The response was overwhelming and Dan has already been asked to headline the event next year.

BGM out of San Antonio is teaming up with Old Boots Music to promote the second single off “Viva La Cowboy”. “Swingin’ ‘Til We Can’t See Strait” is catching on like wildfire. Dan’s first single “I’m the one to call” went to #21 on the Texas Music charts, and it looks like the next single is well on the way to making the charts as well.
